Flavour – Ololufe ft. Chidinma

Jim Donnett’s Verdict

Flavour never fails to impress when it comes to presenting the visuals to his records. Ololufe is one timeless record off his Thankful album that features the petite pitch songstress, Chidinma, and is a representation of what a love & romance clip should look like.

Adorned only in white apparels which speak divinity, Flavour professes his love on some of the best choice locations that South Africa can boast of. Their vocal synergy further mirrors the chemistry they both share, not just as music artistes but two humans in love. The aerial scenes are the most captivating, the absence of a vanishing point in perspective, aptly describe their definition of an endless love. The dove props totally scored major points as it was one very very ingenious move. And then that kiss… #Dassall!

JimmyKing’s Verdict

Ololufe is a great video from Flavour and it’s a perfect video for a fairy tale love song. The video just takes you back to that love story which always have an happy ever after ending. Chidinma was incredible bringing in her panache presence to the video making it a classic.

The scenery was subtle and the white background gave it the perfect touch. The passionate kiss shared by Flavour and Chidinma did the song and video justice. Other things also gave glamour to the video like the flying dove, the ship and the exercise on a desert. The video paints the story of the song perfectly well.

aL Yhusuff’s Verdict

Firstly, the record Ololufe is a tune that really depicts love and its essence in ones life. The vocal delivery of Flavour and Chidinma  on this record should be applauded. The all white video is indeed captivating. The all white concept keeps the mind at peace, but I think a touch of red would have been perfect since it is a love song.

Flavour and Chidinma surely had this chemistry, there was a blend in the two and the message portrayed wasn’t misinterpreted. Personally, I enjoyed this piece. Won’t say it’s flawless but it was sure close to being  flawless. Also, the artistic director and location manager did a good job on this one, the creativity and choice locale was indeed splendid.

Skuki – Gbemileke Remix ft. Tiwa Savage

Jim Donnett’s Verdict

I enjoyed the remix to Skuki’s Gbemileke so much that my excitement grew with the news of a video release and it is not unconnected with the fact that it features vocal sweetheart and Mavin dorodiva, Tiwa Savage.

But as much as I want to say I love the video, I still expected more from the Unlimited L.A-directed cut. Gbemileke is supposed to connote a rise (or better yet, an elevation) from a former life. Not that the video didn’t rep, infact it had a beautiful plot of a story to go with but the focus seemed majorly on the Shoki dancing, which brings me to saying that I think this Shoki dance seloquesence has been a bit overly used and is becoming adulterated… yes I’m talking to you Mrs Billz! And Skuki Peeshaun should please not try to Shoki until he’s perfected the dance craft. Regardless, it looks like they had a good outing while at it.

JimmyKing’s Verdict

Gbemileke video wasn’t a bad attempt from the duo Skuki, in fact they impressed with storyline about grass to grace. Tiwa Savage appearance gave the song and video a blend. The Unlimited L.A directed video was good but lack a bit of creativity.

The concept of the video is common but it still passes across the message that the song preaches. Not a bad video though from the duo.

aL Yhusuff’s Verdict

The remix to Skuki’s Gbemileke with Tiwa savage on it is indeed an exciting experience or lemme say, it is a delight to the ears. And the Unlimited L.A  flick isn’t bad as it portrays the story behind Gbemileke in an interesting way.

The video indeed portrayed the “grass to grace” situation in life. The plot and locale really complements the audio. Skuki and the diva Tiwa were indeed the perfect match for the record.

The video is indeed enjoyable as the plot keeps one glued to the screen.
