Peter Odemwingie has remained in the consciousness of soccer loving Nigerians.
Not for anything but for his type of football.
Peter Osaze Odemwingie was born 15 July 1981 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Soviet Union) is a Nigerian-Russian football player who has  Russian Tatar mother and a Nigerian father.
Peter Osaze Odemwingie currently  plays as a winger or forward for the Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.Odemwingie choose to play football with  the national football team of Nigeria,
although he was also eligible for Russia and Uzbekistan.
Odemwingie first plied his trade with Belgian club La Louviere and made his mark by helping the club to win the Belgian Cup in his first season.
Scoring nine goals in 44 appearances attracted the attention of the French Ligue 1 side Lille and before long he was a starter in the first team playing in the French Ligue 1. Famous for his technique and pace,
the Nigerian player was being monitored by a number of prestigious European clubs.
However, in July 2007, the club couldn’t resist a $14 million offer from Lokomotiv Moscow.
He was selected as the only over-aged player of the Nigerian football team at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
During the tournament, he scored one goal and made one assist. Nigeria eventually lost the final to defending champions Argentina.
The  Famous player is know for his pace, hardwork  and swiftness,the ungreatful  Lokomotiv moscow……..might not know they are a great player
with great quality..
