Pheelz
Pheelz is a Nigerian record producer, singer, and songwriter who rose to prominence as one of the key architects of modern Afrobeats before transitioning into a successful recording artist. Known for his tag “Pheelz Mr Producer,” he has crafted numerous hit songs and later gained global recognition with his own music.
Born Phillip Kayode Moses on June 5, 1994, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Pheelz developed an early passion for music production. He studied Computer Science at the University of Lagos, where he further honed his production skills.
Pheelz became widely known as the in-house producer for YBNL Nation, working closely with Olamide. He produced multiple hit records including tracks from the album Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), earning recognition as one of Nigeria’s top producers.
Over the years, Pheelz produced numerous chart-topping songs for major Nigerian artists, solidifying his reputation in the industry. His versatility allowed him to create sounds across Afrobeats, hip-hop, and street pop.
In 2022, Pheelz transitioned into a full-time artist, achieving massive success with the global hit “Finesse” featuring BNXN (Buju). The song became a viral sensation and charted internationally.
Following “Finesse,” he released his EP Pheelz Good (2023), which included popular songs like “Electricity” featuring Davido. His ability to combine production expertise with catchy vocals has made him a standout act.
Pheelz continues to release new music while collaborating with international artists. He remains active both as a producer and performing artist.
Pheelz is one of the few Nigerian producers to successfully transition into a global Afrobeats artist, maintaining influence both behind the scenes and on the charts.
