Early Life & Education
Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, was born on December 23, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria. She hails from a family with a musical background; her father was a prominent businessman, while her mother was a former medical doctor. Teni is the younger sister of singer Niniola. She attended Apata Memorial High School in Lagos and later moved to the United States for further studies. She graduated from the University of Georgia, where she studied Business Administration.
Career Beginnings
Teni began her music career in 2016 using her unique blend of Afrobeats and R&B, and her talents quickly gained attention in the Nigerian music scene. She initially recorded and released songs independently before signing with Dr Dolor Entertainment in 2017, which further propelled her career.
