Del B Filing Law Suit Against Eric Manny Records Over Unpaid Royalties

Controversies would never cease to occur in the Nigerian music industry as artistes, producers, managers and so on would always have conflicting interests. When clashes surface, some quickly settle amicably before it becomes public while others find it hard to resolve which then becomes a ‘hit.’

The latter could be what has happened between popular producer, Ayodele Basil aka Del B and Runtown’s former record label; Eric Manny as a legal battle is potentially coming up between the two.

Del B in an interview with Cool FM 96.9 on the 21st of March, 2019, revealed he will be filing a law suit against Eric Manny records for unpaid royalties. The producer, singer and song writer revealed after producing Runtown’s 2016 monster hit “Mad Over You” as well as “Bend Down Pause” featuring Wizkid which was released in 2015, he ought to be getting royalties for his effort on the songs which he isn’t getting. He said since he produced those songs which went on to be commercial successes, Eric Manny never paid him a dime. He however revealed that is about to change now has the law would have to help them settle the issue.

Del B who currently has an 11 track E.P out titled, “AFRODISIAC,” is a major producer in the music industry who has worked with Davido, Wizkid, Kcee and many other big names in Nigerian music.
