Chicago-born rapper Polo G has been behind bars since Saturday after being arrested for felony possession of a concealed weapon in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. Police reportedly found a loaded gun in his car during a traffic stop for speeding.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ Hip Hop that after searching his vehicle, LAPD officers discovered the loaded pistol, leading to Polo G’s immediate arrest. The arrest comes at a critical time for the rapper, who recently released his long-awaited fourth album, Hood Poet, in August. His year has been marred by legal issues, including a weapons charge in New York City in April and a similar bust in Burbank last year.
Polo G has yet to be released from custody, raising concerns about the future of his Hood Poet Tour, which is set to begin in just three days. The delay could jeopardize the start of his tour, leaving fans and promoters uncertain about upcoming performances.
