Nigerian Twitter has ridiculed Naira Marley & Burna Boy for failing to join #EndSARS Protest which kicked off in Lagos today.

Singers, Runtown, Falz, Tiwa Savage, DJ Spinall, Jaywon, and other Nigerian celebrities stormed the streets of Lagos to protest against the harassment of Nigerian youths by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS). Their aim is to get the government to close the dressed and controversial unit from the Police Force.

Nigerians and other celebrities who were unable to join the protest took to the platform to commend the singers for their bravery. However, some Nigerians used this opportunity to mock Naira Marley and Burna Boy for being hypocrites. It would be recalled that the “Soapy”  singer was supposed to lead a protest but canceled it and instead held an Instagram Live session with the PRO of Police, Frank Mba.

Burna Boy on the other hand, who declined to join the October 1st protest organized by activist, Yele Sowore to demand a better Nigeria was dragged for failing to act on what he constantly attacks the Nigerian youths for.

See reactions below:

After all the talk wey Naira and Burna do, na Runtown and Falz wey no too talk, get mind enter street. Hypocrites calling other people hypocrites. Do am if e easy naw…

Falz made a whole album speaking against the government and he’s still out on the street walking the talk!!!
But our self acclaimed African Giant thinks all he has to do is sing and call us cowards.

Runtown and Falz they lead protest uhmm ? where is that Guy that calls himself the AFRICAN GIANT ?? ??

Immediately lock down was announced, @iRuntown sacrificed 10million naira relief and look at him on the street protesting against police brutality, high time we started separating Giant of Africa from Giant of Ikorodu ?

Runtown and Falz on the streets leading a protest and not behind their screens calling us cowards. True definition of African Giants!

— Omoniyi Israel (@Omoissydeyhere) October 8, 2020

Runtown and Falz!!! I Stan and Re-Stan! Celebrities that can afford the good life but yet chose to stand for us???

— DREYLO (@RealDreylo) October 8, 2020

Exactly why Runtown and Falz are leading the youth to the streets to achieve a revolution that will better their lives while you lead a group of Women with low self esteem to shake their bumbum on your IG live for few naira bills.

I no want your kind leadership.

Falz and Runtown are what the other guy thinks he is ? #EndSARSProtest
