Davido’s Fia is one of the most significant Davido songs ever. He dropped Fia in November 2017 after a fairly long battle with the Lagos state police over his alleged hand in the death of his friend, Tagbo.
Davido made FIA and as expected by a lot of music fans, he addressed some of the unfortunate incidents in the song, especially in the second verse of the song. Fia undoubtedly became an immediate hit as it trended all over Nigeria within a very short space.
It was the darling of all radio stations when it got released and immediately jumped to the forefront of every major music chart in Nigeria. Fia has over 100 million views on YouTube and remains one of Davido`s most featured songs. Fia is a beautiful song that is well arranged and given awesome rhythm. The production was top notch as Fresh VDM (who got signed to DMW after the effort) made sure his first major effort in Nigerian music would be one that would be loved and very well accepted by all.
