Ladipoe is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for blending hip-hop with Afrobeats to create a unique Afro-rap sound. Widely regarded as one of the leading voices in Nigeria’s rap revival movement, he gained mainstream success with hit songs like “Know You” and “Feeling.”
Born Ladipo Eso in Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria, Ladipoe spent part of his early life in the United States, where he studied and developed his musical influences. Initially pursuing an academic career, his passion for music eventually led him into full-time artistry.
Ladipoe started gaining attention in the Nigerian music scene with his lyrical ability and storytelling style. He officially joined Mavin Records in 2017, marking a major turning point in his career.
He gained widespread recognition with songs like “Jaiye” and later “Know You” featuring Simi, which became a major hit and introduced him to a broader audience.
In 2021, Ladipoe released “Feeling” featuring BNXN (Buju), which became one of the biggest songs in Nigeria, topping charts and dominating radio airplay.
The success of the song cemented his place as a leading figure in modern Nigerian rap.
He released his debut album Talk About Poe (T.A.P) in 2019 and followed up with the Providence EP in 2021, showcasing his versatility and growth as an artist.
Ladipoe continues to release new music and collaborate with major artists across Africa. His sound continues to evolve, blending rap with mainstream Afrobeats influences.
