The artist listed here have been in our faces for a while now, containing Africa’s biggest exports that have not only been working hard to curate mad jamz, but they have also been able to put Nigeria and Africa at league on the global map.
Let’s get into it;
Burna Boy- Common Person
Off his just premiered album, Love, Damini, Odogwu himself serves his lovers around the world a brand new one, Common Person. Common Person is a track that depicts the reality of the average person.
With some strings of highlife, Burna Boy takes us back in time. Burna Boy is one artist who, although is embedded in Afrobeat, loves to explore other genres as well. The single, through his new project has shown a different side to what we are quite accustomed to.
This song is definitely one that should be on your playlist.
Omah Lay- I’m a mess
Omah Lay, shares with his fans the dark parts of his life. Not all that glitters is gold they say and this track is a typical representation. Many times, we tend to forget that celebrities are just like you and me. They have burdens as well and feel pain.
Omah lets us into his world, as he reveals to us that he is also a “mess like everyone else. “I’m a mess is that song that resonates with everyone. Niphkeys takes production credit for this jam.
Omah Lay recently shared with us his mental health struggles after he got betrayed by a friend. He also appreciated those who stood by him through the trying times.
Fireboy – Bandana ft Asake
All the way from YBNL, Adedamola Adefolahan, widely known as Fire Boy DML premiers a brand new track dubbed, Bandana featuring his label mate, Asake.
Both artists deliver pleasantly without one overshadowing the other. Asake held down the chorus of the song as expected, while Fireboy also did justice to his verses. The song sprung to number No. 1 on Nigeria’s Top 100 in its release week.
For a couple of years now, Fireboy has been dishing out amazing sounds and has been able to show versatility via his craft.
Adekunle – 5 star
Adekunle Gold with the juice and sauce is here again with a brand new one, titled, 5-star. The song is an emotional one, where the artist takes us back to his struggle days with sickle cell. But now, AG baby is on a 5-star ‘steezz’ and takes absolute care of himself.
We have watched AG baby transform from the days of Orente, to About 30, and now to songs like %-star. I think we can all agree that his growth is undoubtedly amazing.
Despite his health condition (which we wouldn’t have known if not for his most recent revelation anyway). Adekunle Gold has gone on to be the best version of himself, and never fails to carry his fans along.
The song is definitely a hit that should not be missing from your playlist.

Ijo Laba Laba also serves as a follow-up to the Mavin All stars, Overdose that had us hooked for the longest, and still does anyways.
Afro-pop sensation, Olakira, who wowed out with his hit single, “Maserati” is here doing the lords work again, as he premiers a new jam dubbed, Polongo.
One thing we know about Olakira is that he puts his all into his projects, with catchy lyrics and verses. On this addictive song, Olakira tells his woman that he can be all she wants and more – The perfect gentleman.

Thsi buzzing sound serves as a follow-up after Iyanya’s debut single for the year called, “Call”, which features Ayra Starr all the way from Mavin records.
