Ghanaian king of Rap and Hiphop, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has made history for winning  BET’s Best International Flow Act at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, a category that was introduced for the first time this year.

Sarkodie in his acceptance speech dedicated the award to his daughter for reasons best known to him and used the opportunity to tell the world to visit Ghana whenever they find themselves in Africa.

He was nominated alongside other African artistes like Nigerian rapper; Falz the Bad Guy, Ghetts from the United Kingdom, Kalash from France, Female rapper; Little Simz from the UK, South African hip pop prodigy; Nasty C, Tory Lanez of Canada and won the category.

The 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards which was hosted by  American entertainer, Lil Duval was held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Georgia, United States.
