To join in the ongoing discussion on the trend of contractual disagreements that ensues between artistes and record labels, Solidstar said that record labels are out to manipulate unsuspecting and desperate artistes with shady contracts. The singer advised label executives to be realistic with their demands while stressing the importance of ensuring that signed artistes should get the benefit for their talent and effort.
These statements by the singer, is coming at a time when Kiss Daniel and his ex-label, G-Worldwide are engulfed in a legal battle over contract dispute and accusations of infringement of rights. Solidstar’s words seems to be directed at record labels and artistes looking to get signed, to avoid contract complications in the future.
