The Jagbanjantis crooner, Sound Sultan said to all music lovers and fan not to look up to artiste to help change the situation of the country during an interview with HipTv. Sound Sultan said they can only do as far as they have done by singing out their thoughts. They can only do as much as singing conscious music to inspire the people, it is now left for the people to take actions and try to change things.
He also says it is not helpful when the people criticize them for singing conscious music just because they think these artists are not also struggling. He say creative people are not necessarily meant to be the face of struggle. He also gave examples of artistes that has reached out with their songs through their music platform to inspire for Change, like Falz (This Is Nigeria), 2Baba (One Love) and his song with M.I Abaga (2010), that it shouldn’t just stop there, others should pick it up and continue the struggle.
