TY Dolla $ign may be a big star in the industry but in prison, he’s just another inmate. The singer is facing some serious time after he was indicted for cocaine possession and other charges.
Earlier this year, Ty was busted after drug dogs went absolutely wild when sniffing around his vehicle, prompting cops to get the artist in cuffs and arrest him. According to TMZ, TY Dolla has been indicted and is facing up to fifteen years in prison.
The publication notes that he was hit with three formal charges: felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of THC, and misdemeanour possession of under one ounce of marijuana. It’s worth mentioning that the arrest happened in Atlanta, where drug laws are much stricter than in California.
The police initially searched Ty’s limo van, going through bags and other belongings in the vehicle. Skrillex was also searched but Dolla was the only person who got busted.
Considering he’s facing over a decade in prison, we’re hoping that Ty can somehow find his way out of this. At the end of the day, he didn’t hurt anybody. Fifteen years sounds excessive in that aspect.
