Nigerian and Ghanaian Veteran Artistes, Tony Tetuila and Tic Tac have taken a bold and aggressive step in suing Nigerian Top Star, Wizkid over copyright infringement.
The “Fever” Hitmaker together with Nigerian DJ, DJ Tunez dropped a song sometimes ago dubbed “Gbese” and some of Tony Tetuila ” Fefe Ne Efe” verses were sung by Wizkid in DJ Tunez “Gbese”.
According to the Plaintiffs in an Interview on Hitz FM`s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Wizkid did not acknowledge them for sampling their song, talk-less of paying for it. They also added that they will be seeking damages to the tune of over N30,000,000 equivalent to 84,000 in dollars. They are also seeking 35% of both digital sales and royalties DJ Tunez and Wizkid received from the song.
