Talented Nigerian singer, Fireboy Wins Big at Nigeria’s Biggest and Most Prestigious Music Awards, The Headies, 2021.
This year’s award (The 14th Headies) rewarded works released between July 2019 to September 2020, Fireboy DML topped with nine nominations, Davido & Wurld followed up with seven nominations each, while Burna Boy the reigning Artiste of the Year got six nominations.
February 21st, 2021 came and YBNL’s golden boy, Fireboy DML was the highlight of the night. The Champion crooner went home with 5 Awards and this earned him the most win artiste tag at The 14th Headies Awards Night.
Fireboy who was nominated in 9 categories; Best Recording Of The Year (with song DREAMER), Best R&B Album Of The Year (with the 2019 album, LAUGHTER, TEARS AND GOOSEBUMPS), Best Pop Album (with the 2020 album, APOLLO), Best R&B Single (with the song TATTOO), Headies Revelation, Album Of The Year (with the album, APOLLO), Headies’ Viewers Choice and Best Music Video (with ELI Directed by Clarence Peters) won 5 out of the 9.
