Afropop singer-songwriter, Teni the entertainer has finally revealed why she featured only Davido on Her Debut album, Wondaland.
In a recent Afrobeats podcast with Adesope Olajide, Teni opened up about featuring DMW boss and fellow colleague, Davido in her 17 track debut album.
When asked by the host why she didn’t feature other artists on her album except for Davido, In her own words, Teni confidently said:
It had to be Davido. Davido is such an amazing guy and big thumbs up to everybody, Because everybody showed me love, but it had to be Davido
The billionaire crooner admitted to sharing an amazing connection with other artists, like Wizkid and Burnaboy, but her connection with Davido has always been special from the first day they met in Atlanta.
I remember Wiz saw me at the headies and Wiz literally stood up and said hello. They always show love, Burna ….. Anywhere Burna sees me, he always shows love. But David is special because I have known Davido since Atlanta ooo
Teni also disclosed how Davido motivated and encouraged her to come back to Nigeria.
I remember when I met him in his studio session and he said to me in his exact words ‘Go back to Nigeria and you are going to be a huge star‘ So he motivated me with those words and it was just right for me to do something with them for my first album. He was already huge at the time oo, so imagine Davido meeting me in a studio and telling me to do my thing that I can actually be a huge star

Recall, Teni featured Davido on her first and hottest track from her album, For You. The banging tune was already trending on social media before it was officially released.
