Nigerian Afrobeats and R&B singer, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa, professionally referred to as Joeboy, has said ace singer, Wizkid made up-and-coming artistes believe they can hit stardom in their youth.
The ”˜Baby crooner` stated this on the latest episode of the Body & Soul podcast, while talking about how Machala changed his life.
According to Joeboy, who is signed to Mr Eazi`s Empawa Africa, before Wizkid, it was difficult for young artistes to blow early.
Joeboy noted that he knew was going to become a successful musician after meeting the ”˜Essence` hit maker for the first time.
He said; “One thing I really appreciate about Wizkid is that he made young artistes believe that they could pop hit stardom at a young age.
Before Wiz, if any artiste pop, it was probably at a very later stage in life. But after Wiz young people started coming through.”
