American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke professionally known as Davido, has surged to the forefront of online discussions due to his recent remarks regarding the paramount question of who claims the coveted title of the greatest footballer in history.
Davido recently graced the stage with a spectacular performance at the 2023 Professional Footballers` Association (PFA) Awards, marked another high-profile appearance following his show-stopping act at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
During the star-studded ceremony, GOAL, the prominent sports media outlet, approached Davido to get his take on the eternal debate surrounding the greatest footballer of all time, a debate that centers on the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo and the Argentine Maestro, Lionel Messi.
With the spotlight firmly on him, Davido said he loves them both but voiced his preference for the Portuguese football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo,
He said, “Cristiano for me, you know, what outcomes, very, very disciplined,
“I am a very, very disciplined person, you know, and to have that kind of success and to be so disciplined at the same time is something I`ve always admired about him.
“I like both of them. But, I personally, I`m a Ronaldo guy.”
The OBO Crooner revealed his current favorite young footballer on the global stage, and it`s none other than Arsenal`s dynamic winger, Bukayo Saka.
