The Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro had its premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Dec. 12), during which director and leading man Bradley Cooper caught up with his A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga on the black carpet.

Cooper donned a smart three-piece black suit, and Gaga wore a black tailored suit too, with silver beaded elements. The two posed solo and with Cooperβs Maestro co-star Carey Mulligan and Cooperβs 6-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk. The Maestro premiere also sweetly marks Lea De Seineβs first red-carpet event.
βIt means the world to me,β he told the outlet on Tuesday night. βAlso because Iβm really excited for her to see the movie. Sheβs a dear friend and we went through such an incredible experience together, so you just want to share the art with each other.β
A Star Is Born served as Gagaβs first role as a leading lady. The 2018 film, also directed by Cooper, scored eight Oscar nominations, including best actor for Cooper and best actress for Gaga, but took home the award for best original song for the movieβs hit duet βShallow.β
