This comes after President Bola Tinubu implemented measures to combat food insecurity in the country. According to Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari, the Federal Government will introduce a 150-Day Duty-Free Import Window for food commodities. He stated that during this time, the government will reduce tax and import charges on wheat, maize, husked brown rice, and cowpeas.
