Fave blasts Tinubu voters as lacking common sense, expressing frustration with Nigeria’s economic issues.
Nigerian artist Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, known professionally as Fave, has voiced a strong critique of those who supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 election. Clearly frustrated with Nigeria’s current economic challenges, Fave was recently featured in a viral video where she expressed her disdain for Tinubu’s voters.
Fave first gained attention with a standout verse on a free beat from Jinmi Abdul, which went viral on Twitter. She also gained popularity by posting a series of short videos during the COVID-19 lockdown. In 2022, she was honored with the Rookie of the Year award at The Headies and earned nominations for Most Promising Artist and Best Artist in African Reggae and Dancehall at the All-Africa Music Awards. She was also a nominee for Best New Artiste at the 2022 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
Addressing Tinubu’s leadership, the 24-year-old singer did not hold back, stating, “I can’t believe anyone in their right senses will get to the poll and said Oh I want to vote for Tinubu. Fvck you.”
