Adele announces break from music over the weekend after her Las Vegas residency ends.
“I have 10 shows to do, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart,” Adele said in a TikTok clip from one of her performances in Munich, Germany.
Fans reacted after Adele announces break from music in the comments section.
“Please don’t leave us,” one person wrote.
“Noooo,” another fan said.
“Good for her! Enjoy your break Adele,” a third comment read.
Fans speculated that Adele is taking time away from her career to get married to her fiancé Rich Paul. She confirmed her engagement to the 42-year-old sports agent at one of her earlier Munich shows last month. The singer first shared the news about her break from music in July.
“I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” she told German outlet ZDF.
“I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while,” she added.
Adele began her Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November 2022. Her final show is scheduled for Nov. 23. Adele’s last album, “30,” came out in 2021. She typically releases a new album once every few years.
Meanwhile, in related news Rich Paul took to Instagram to share highlights from his vibrant birthday celebration. The post featured photos of Paul smiling and posing with his Grammy-winning girlfriend Adele, as well as moments of him rolling dice and cruising in a sleek convertible.
In the caption, Paul reflected on life’s journey, writing, “Smile and enjoy life’s ride, the critics will always critique what’s unique. No need to invest in the camera’s flash—it doesn’t last; just let the dice roll. The winners’ circle is colored in with losses and comebacks. The weight is carried on the back of the mentally strong and God’s chosen. There’s wisdom amongst the young and the old. I’ve gone up and down and around 43 times, and what I’ve learned most is NEVER FOLD!!!!”
Adele has been in the spotlight recently for more than just her music. In September, she drew attention when she referred to herself as Paul’s “wife” during her Weekends with Adele residency show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas. While discussing sports, she mentioned, “I’m not the greatest wife” because she has struggled to grasp American football, a sport not widely followed in her native England. Despite this, neither Adele nor Paul have officially confirmed their relationship status.
