Davido Reveals Why Oriadé Was a Different Recording Experience
Nigerian superstar Davido has opened up about the creative process behind his upcoming album, Oriadé, revealing that the project was made under very different circumstances compared to his previous releases.
Speaking about the album, the award-winning singer shared that he recorded the majority of Oriadé from the comfort of his home, a major shift from the lively studio sessions he had grown accustomed to throughout his career.
“This album, I recorded most of it in my house. It was a different experience for me because I’m used to recording in the studio outside, my boys with me, and alcohol. But this time, I live with my kids and wife now so I can’t have 100 people in the house with me. I enjoyed the experience of working with the producers one on one.”
Davido explained that the change in environment allowed him to take a more focused and intimate approach to recording. Instead of the usual bustling studio atmosphere, he found himself collaborating closely with producers in quieter, more personal sessions.
The singer’s comments offer fans a glimpse into how his evolving family life has influenced both his creative process and the making of Oriadé. By trading crowded studio sessions for a home-based setup, Davido says he discovered a new way of creating music—one that emphasized collaboration, concentration, and a deeper connection with the production process.
As anticipation continues to build for Oriadé, fans will be eager to hear how this more personal recording experience has shaped the sound of Davido‘s next chapter.
