During an Instagram Live session on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Cardi B Responds by accusing Offset of threatening “court wars,” alleging that her ex-husband cannot handle the fact that she is moving on with her life.
The ongoing divorce saga between American rappers Cardi B and Offset has taken another dramatic turn as both parties hurl fresh accusations against each other. Despite confirming their separation in December 2023, Cardi B recently gave birth to her third child with Offset earlier this month. However, this has done little to cool tensions, and the breakup has become increasingly contentious. Cardi B Responds to these new claims, escalating the public drama.
“He’s doing everything to try and make this difficult,” Cardi B Responds to her followers, hinting at impending legal battles amid their complicated divorce process.
“Nggas think that they can fck on anything but when I start talking to n*ggas… You wanna play those games with me? We gonna play them games too,” she said.
“Since you want to fcking threaten me and take my sht [properties]… You wanna take my sht because I’m moving on? Move on. Why can’t you move on? It’s not fun when mama got the gun, right? It’s not fun when I’m slinging pssy, right? Now we are going to court war, right? And I told you, get off my phone. I don’t give a f*ck. I’m tired,” she added.
Offset, however, joined the live session to allege that Cardi B had sex with another man while she was pregnant with their third child. Cardi B Responds to this accusation directly.
He wrote, “You f*cked with a baby inside. Tell the truth!”
Hours later, Cardi B Responds to the claim on X (formerly, Twitter), supposedly affirming the allegation with a bold post: “AND DID !!!!!!” she wrote. The drama continues to unfold as Cardi B Responds and both parties exchange public accusations, keeping their breakup in the spotlight.
Meanwhile, Cardi B and Offset became entangled in a lawsuit regarding their use of a lavish Beverly Hills mansion, which was prominently featured in their music video for Cardi’s song “Like What.”
Offset, who directed the video, and Cardi B were accused of misleading the property owner by claiming the shoot was for a TikTok video rather than a full-scale music video, thus avoiding standard rental fees. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the homeowner permitted Cardi B, Offset, and their team to use the mansion for free under the impression that it was for a brief TikTok video. The owner argued that had he known the video was a high-production music video—now boasting over 27 million views on YouTube—he would have required the proper rental fees. The property owner sought over $35,000 in damages.
The mansion, previously rented by Justin Bieber and featured in a Logan Paul video, was a key element in the “Like What” music video. The lawsuit claimed Cardi B and Offset benefited from the mansion’s use without adequately compensating the homeowner.
In defense, Cardi B rejected these allegations and vigorously contested the lawsuit. She addressed the issue on social media, stating that she paid $10,000 in cash for a full 24-hour rental of the mansion, plus extra fees for any additional time. Cardi B asserted that the property owner, along with realtors, was present throughout the shoot and was aware that it was a music video, not just a TikTok clip.
Cardi B tweeted, “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours… Now they wanna finesse us trying to say we told them it was a TikTok video… IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BITCH I’ll see you in court!!!!”
This lawsuit added to the challenges facing Cardi B and Offset, who recently welcomed their third child while navigating ongoing divorce proceedings. Despite the legal complications, Cardi B remained determined to resolve the issue in court.
