Indigenous Nigerian Rapper, Sodiq Yusuf, also known as CDQ, recently expressed his dissatisfaction with the new song teaser by YBNL Artiste, Asake. Although the music video by Asake was met with great enthusiasm by many fans, including Blogger Tunde Ednut, Actress Iyabo Ojo, and other celebrities, CDQ was unimpressed.
The rapper asserted that the teaser to the yet-to-be-titled song by Asake sounded similar to their hit song, ‘Palazzo’. In the music video, the singer delivers his lyrics in a mixture of both English language and Yoruba. However, CDQ believes that the artiste could have done better.
It is not clear what specific aspect of the music video displeased CDQ, as he has yet to clarify this. Nonetheless, the rapper’s comments have sparked a conversation about the quality of music from Nigerian artists.
