Superstar crooner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido recently engaged in a mild verbal exchange with a tweep who questioned his plans to accomplish a stadium sell-out, just as his colleague Wizkid had done.
The exchange took place in the wake of Wizkid`s impressive sold-out show at the 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur stadium in the UK.
On the micro-blogging platform Twitter, a social media user decided to taunt Davido, asking him when he would be able to achieve a similar feat.
He wrote:
“Over to you David, stadium when @davido?”
In response, Davido displayed composure, choosing to take the higher road. He replied to the troll with a positive outlook, assuring him that the achievement he was questioning would happen sooner than expected.
Davido even went the extra mile by expressing his heartfelt wish for the critic`s well-being, hoping that he would remain alive and in good health to witness the momentous occasion.
“I pray to God ur alive and healthy by then to witness ”¦ it won`t be long ???,” the singer wrote

This exchange on social media highlighted the friendly but competitive relationship between Davido and Wizkid, two of Nigeria`s biggest music stars. Both artists have a massive fan following, and their successes often lead to comparisons and banter among their respective fan bases.
It`s worth noting that Wizkid`s achievement of selling out the Tottenham Hotspur stadium was a significant milestone for African music as a whole, showcasing the global appeal and influence of Afrobeat music and its talented artists.
On the other hand, Davido`s response serves as an example of how celebrities can choose to handle situations in a mature manner.
