The 9th edition of urban music and hip culture awards, The Headies, will now hold on Sunday, December 14, 2014 as revealed by its organisers today. Said to be Nigeria`s most consistent and most credible honours platform, The Headies, was initially scheduled to hold on October 25, 2014.
Executive Producer, Ayo Animashaun says the event is making a return to the Eko Convention Centre this year by popular demand. ”˜It`s another opportunity to give Nigerians a spectacular show, and we`re working round the clock to do what we`re best known for,` he said.
There are twenty-one categories this year, with Phyno and KCEE leading the nominees` list with five nominations each. Vying for the highly coveted Next Rated prize, which comes with a brand new car are Patoranking, Runtown, Orezi, Skales and Yemi Alade, in what might be undoubtedly the toughest category yet in the Headies history.
