Simbiatu Ajikawo, widely known as Little Simz brought her mum up on stage to help her receive the award for best new artist at the 2022 Brit awards.
The 27-year-old British-Nigerian rapper won her 1st ever British Awards yesterday in the category of the Best New Artist. The award comes as a reward for her hard work and dedication, after releasing a series of tunes, as well her critically acclaimed album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.
Simz called her mum on stage to help receive the award but what struck a chord had to be the hilarious reaction of an overly excited mother, who ended up stealing the show.
While walking to the stage, Simz`s mother went straight to Tom Daley who presented the award and pulled him in for a warm embrace.
Simbiatu dedicated the award to her mum with a heartwarming speech; Look at what you done, mum. Look at what you done.
