Davido Reveals Why Flex My Soul Never Dropped: “Isreal Spoilt My Rollout”
Davido has finally explained why his highly anticipated song Flex My Soul was never officially released, revealing that longtime associate Isreal DMW played an unexpected role in the decision.
Speaking about the unreleased track, the Afrobeats superstar clarified that the song is not included on his upcoming project, ORIADÉ, before sharing the story behind its cancellation.
“It’s not on Oriade by the way. Isreal spoilt my rollout for that song. Isreal was overplaying it so I said I wasn’t dropping it again. He said he wouldn’t post it again. E no pass two days, he appeared in the towel video playing it.”
According to Davido, the repeated previews of the song before its official release ultimately took away the excitement he had planned for the rollout. Rather than move forward with a campaign he felt had already been compromised, the singer decided to shelve the record altogether.
The revelation has sparked reactions across social media, with fans expressing disappointment that Flex My Soul may never receive an official release. Many had been eagerly awaiting the track after snippets surfaced online, making it one of Davido‘s most talked-about unreleased records.
While Flex My Soul appears to be off the table for now, Davido reassured fans that it will not feature on ORIADÉ, leaving listeners curious about what the forthcoming project has in store.
