As part of the itinerary ahead of his Elevated Concert coming up this Sunday, June 17, singer Mr. 2Kay visited two major academic institutions in Rivers State, Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori and Port Harcourt Poly to spend time and share his success story with the students.
Mr. 2Kay told his story from his days of hawking on the streets of Port Harcourt to squatting with his uncle until he moved to Lagos to continue chasing his dream. While the singer maintains that success is a continuous journey, he advised the students to stay focused and manage their time wisely. He also hammered on the need for contentment. In his words, he said, “Cut your coat according to your material.”
The students who came out en mass showed their excitement as they cheered and clapped as Mr. 2Kay shared some of his funny life experiences with them. After the sessions in both schools, some of the students were given an opportunity to ask questions and further interact with the singer.
2Kay`s label mate, Idahams, was also present to support and entertain the students.
The school tour ended with Mr. 2Kay sponsoring Daniel Warmate, an ND 1 student of the Department of Surveying and Geo-informatics at Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori. Mr. 2kay also gave out N20,000 to Taminoemi, a student of the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, who sang Mr. 2kay`s hit single ”˜Who no like better thing` .
Mr. 2Kay has been in Port Harcourt for the past two weeks in preparation for his upcoming Elevated Concert which will hold at Aztech Arcum, Stadium road. The singer will be performing with a live band alongside other artistes such as Timaya, Duncan Mighty, Iyanya, Harrysong, Kizz Daniel, Idahams and many more. There will also be humour sessions by MC Lively, Charles Okocha (Mr. Accolades), Brodashaggi, KO Baba, Dan D` Humourous and others. he turntables will be controlled by Mavin Records DJ Big N, DJ Kevin, DJ Joenell, DJ AY and special guest appearance by DJ Jimmy Jatt.
Mr. 2Kay`s ELEVATED concert will be co-hosted by ace OAP Olisa Adibua and the super bubbly Alex of Big Brother Nigeria 2018.
