Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, is set to receive an RIAA gold certification for her record-charting song, “Me & U”. The record, which was released a few months ago, has sold 500,000 units in the U.S thereby qualifying it to receive the coveted RIAA gold certification. This certification will be her fourth solo certification since records like “Higher”, “Free Mind”, and “Wait for U” have also earned the artiste gold certifications in the U.S.

“Me & U” is an Afrobeats record that was co-produced by the artiste and the Ghanaian producer, GuiltyBeatz. The song is also one of the tracks on her debut album, Born in the Wild. Her recently released album debuted on the UK Official Albums Charts, making her the highest-charting Nigerian female artiste on the chart.
