In a recent interview with Revolt, the producer-turned-singer admitted that he never intended to become an artist, saying, “I never really planned to be an artist, but life played out.” Reflecting on his transition from producer to artist, Young Jonn described it as a significant learning experience. “It’s a whole different ball game. It’s a whole different hustle, grind and business. It took me time, but I think I’m getting hold of it,” he shared.
Young Jonn also mentioned that while finding his footing in the music industry, he drew inspiration from artists like Olamide, Kizz Daniel, and Lil Kesh. Early in his career, Young Jonn collaborated with Olamide’s YBNL Nation, producing numerous tracks for Lil Kesh, Olamide, and other label artists.
