Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has come out to thank Nigeria for making Ghanaian music less important and famous.
The 36 year old artist hopped on Instagram to lament over Nigerian Music overshadowing Ghanaian music. He wrote that Ghanaian (African) artistes are now identified as afrobeats artistes, a title meant only for Nigeria.
According to him, this development as a result of Ghana not having an identity and having stylishly borrowed Nigeria’s identity to cash out.
Though he announced his retirement in April, Shatta Wale disclosed that he has no issue with this development so long as he secures the bag and is cashing out big time.
