Runtown adopts the trending Ghanaian signature sound synonymous with the sound template used by the singing rave of the moment, Mr. Eazi and he makes a brilliant improvisation, perhaps even more melodious than the model.

Love and desire form the subject of Runtown’s new tune and with a loose spirit and in a relaxed mood, he sings about these subjects in an attempt to woo the lady in his focus. Some of his references on the song confirms the suspicion of the Ghanaian influence on the song but this does not take away from the wealth of Nigerian cultural influences on the song.

‘Mad Over You’ has all the components of a continental pop classic and an essential release which could turn out to have the ground-breaking effect that would serve as a boost to Runtown’s career as an artiste.
