EMMA OGOSI was born 14/08/1942 at Akure, Ondo State. He hails from Asaba, Delta State, both in Nigeria. He went to school in almost all parts of Nigeria, he later went into music professionally with a band called THE EXPENSIVES in Kaduna & they later moved to Kano. The Expensives performed at the wedding ceremony of General Ibrahim Babangida & Late Maryam. In 1973, he joined Midwest Television Benin as a pioneer producer. He created two notable musical programmes:
1) Music Panorama and
2) Voices From Within
He was a member and Pioneer Cadet Officer. He studied Aircraft Engineering with the German Luftwaffe (the German Air Force).
In 1981, he went Solo & Came out with his first album titled: ‘Nobody Knows’.
In 1982, he became the first Secretary General of PMAN.
Emma Ogosi is a father of all; he encourages, nurtures and builds artistes. He is the one that built the likes of Evi Edna Ogholi; Africa’s undisputed Queen of Reggae!
