This Jam is a pure Afro-Pop song which Ycee has been known to do since his breakout single; “Jagaban.” Ycee fans and music fans in general enjoyed and accepted the cool, mid-tempo jam when it dropped. Ycee`s versatility showed clearly once again on “My Side” as he proved that he is just as good a singer just as a rapper.
This sweet tune is a romantic song that surely has to do with Ycee trying to persuade a certain lady to accept his proposal and make him his lover. He wants the girl to be by his side so they could bring out the beauty in love as he also brags about his financial well-being to make the process a smooth one.
