Instagram sensation and singer, Speed Darlington has cried out after the men of the Nigerian police force allegedly collected 200k bribe from him.
The singer took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself on the popular bike transport, Oride narrating in detail his ordeal in the hands of policemen in Lagos. According to him, he visited his extended family members residing on the island and decided to sleepover at their place.
However, after waking up from his nap, forgetting that he was not in his usual place of comfort, his fingers came in contact with the ceiling fan and got pierced. Speedy said his finger bled profusely and discovered that his iPhone had hit the ground which left the screen shattered. He then decided to get it fixed at Computer Village at the cost of N120,000 but upon leaving he was stopped by policemen who searched his bag and found Indian Hemp.
The policemen requested the sum of N500,000 as a bribe and after much deliberation and negotiation, they agreed on 200,000. Speedy lamented about how harsh the country is and said he can’t wait to leave the country.
He captioned the video, “Somebody please book me I need to make this 320 key back davel home me to regret visiting my family on the mainline what I want only God knows best maybe if I have left Bailey and I would have to end up missing a Saturday and this is how God intended accident who knows ..”
