Afrobeats has a new star on its hands by way of MoeLogo, a Londoner via Lagos, Nigeria, set to follow in the footsteps of Afrobeats` international takeover by the likes of Fuse ODG, D`Banj, Mista Silva, Wizkid and Ice Prince. His new single ”˜My Sweetie` gives a modern day twist to an African party favourite, Bunny Mack`s 1979 classic ”˜Let Me Love You`, and features the man himself.
”˜My Sweetie`, produced by SOS (Ariana Grande, Wretch 32), followsMoeLogo`s massive street banger ”˜The Baddest`, which fused Afrobeats and Hip Hop, and topped off by a feature from Giggs on the remix and a support slot with Davido in London. After receiving heavy support by DJ Edu and Charlie Sloth at 1Xtra and DJ Abrantee, Ras Kwame and E Plus at Capital Xtra, the track was duly added to the 1Xtra B list and peaked at #5 in the Capital XTRA Afrobeats chart.
MoeLogo`s latest collaborations sees him teaming up with Sneakbo on his new single ”˜I Like It`, and heading out on a nationwide tour throughout March supporting Fuse ODG.
