Nigerian artistes, Wizkid and Tems have received their platinum plaques for Essence in the US.
In the video making rounds on social media, Tems and Wizkid were seen at an event hosted by RIAA, receiving their awards.
Recall In September, the Recording Industry Association of America reported that Wizkid’s Essence has been certified platinum in the US.
A song is issued a platinum record if it has sold over #1 million units. An album is certified to be platinum if it has sold over 2 million copies and more.
Essence is a track off Wizkid`s Made In Lagos Album. It was released in 2020. The remix of the song featured Justin Bieber, and was released 2021 off Wizkid`s Deluxe album.
