Nigerian singer, Wizkid has made Nigerian proud once again.
The 31-year-old has bagged not one, but two Grammy nominations at the 64th nomination ceremony. He broke the record held by Nigerian’s first Afrobeat Grammy winner, Burna Boy.
Wizkid’s Made in Lagos Deluxe edition got nominated for the “Best Global Music Album” alongside Rocky Dawuni, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti’s albums. Recall the “Best Global Music Album” is the same category Burna Boy won last year with his “Twice as Tall” album.
Also Wizkid’s song with Tems, Essence got nominated for “Best Global Music Performance”. If Wizkid wins the award, Tems will also be getting an award for her contribution on Essence and Wizkid’s album.
