Mavin Prince, Rema has received heavy backlash for revealing the artists who inspired his music.
According to Rema, Fela, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Don Jazzy are the artists who inspired his music. His revelation sparked reactions from some Nigerians who accused of him lying and chasing clout.
‘Rema wasn`t born when Fela started singing, how did his sound inspire him?’ Many commented after watching the video of Rema citing the artists who influenced him.
They added that he is just trying to famz Wizkid because Rema clarified in his interviews that his colleagues had nothing to do with his sound.
Rema also got dragged for not identifying Davido as his inspiration especially after OBO brought him out during his performance at Rick Ross’s concert.
