Nigeriaβs Biggest First-Day Spotify Debuts: Morayo, M$NEY and 5ive Lead the Rankings
Spotify Nigeria‘s streaming numbers for the biggest first-day performances for projects on the Daily Top Songs Chart are here, highlighting the dominance of Nigeria’s biggest music stars and the growing global impact of Afrobeats.
Leading the ranking is Wizkid’s Morayo, which recorded an impressive 12.12 million streams on its first day, making it the biggest opening day for a project on the chart. Asake’s M$NEY follows with 10.003 million streams, while Davido’s 5ive completes the top three with 9.29 million streams.
Other major projects making the list include Asake’s Lungu Boy (5.88M), Davido’s OriadΓ© (5.75M), Burna Boy’s No Sign Of Weakness (5.03M), and Olamide’s self-titled album OlamidΓ© (4.98M).
The ranking also features notable releases from artists including Burna Boy, Tems, Rema, Asake, Ayra Starr, Shallipopi, and Victony, showcasing the wide range of Nigerian artists driving streaming culture both locally and internationally.
