To say that Nigerian entertainment industry parades most of the brightest and iconic music acts on the continent of Africa, is rather stating the obvious. Born Oluwadunsin Owolabi, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Management from University of Ilorin, June Keed perfectly cuts an image of a man on mission who is certain of his destination and convinced of his path. Not even the pursuit of a University degree was able to separate him and his love for music.
June Keed`s emergence on Nigeria`s Hip-Hop stage is indeed refreshing. Refreshing, because June Keed is out to serve his audience with peerless blends of cool beats, fascinating rhythms with inspiring messages in all his songs. These rare qualities were obviously in display in his debut track-MR CHILLING Beyond the literal interpretation of social relaxation “MR CHILLING” speaks further of seamless functioning of any individual in the area of his calling. An adage says “Learn to make money and impact from your hobby and you will never have to work a day of your life” By this song, June Keed is saying to his audience “Discover an area you function best and start CHILLING through life”
