Dolapo Tinubu aka Traqstarr was born on July 2, 1991 in Tokyo, Japan. He moved back to Nigeria with his parents when he was about 2 yrs old.
He grew up listening to his elder brothers always playing music so it was no surprise when he fell in love with music about 4 yrs old. He started writin lyrics when he was 11; he used to listen to music, write the lyrics down then write his. He lost his dad exactly 2 months after he turned 13.
He started rappin with a group of his classmates at 14 but stopped writin or rappin as soon as he got into University. He discovered himself early last year when he was 17. He started battlin on threads on the now defunct ovaloaded.com and got a lot of positive comments from users on the site so he decided to move it up a notch.
He took rap more seriously as he saw the evolution of the industry wit the entry of rappers like MI, Ice Prince, Iceberg Slim & Sauce Kid. His main influences are works from 2pac, MosDef, Nas, Fela, Lupe, Kanye, Jay Z, Eminem, TI and Wayne, and recently J.Cole, Drake, Dolla, Tyga, Shank, Ice Prince & MI. He also gets inspired by young talents coming thru like WizKid, Phenom, Skales, Mo Cheddah & Ice Prince.
He`s working on his mixtape which is now titled “KiDULThood: Tha Mixtape“; expect his début single to drop the end of the year
