I figured out that the mojo of the song, IF, is the sound. Even with the light instrumentation, the sound oozes of quality. I haven’t heard Davido more comfortable on a sound in recent times, thanks to Tekno for the production.

However, Davido deserves credit for giving the song a good vibe. The tempo of the song blends well with Davido’s habitual show off lyrics. This good blend makes the song enjoyable. I’d say ‘IF’ is a good record.

Hmm, IF by Davido kept us in suspense after he announced the song on his IG produced by Tekno. Listening to Prayer early this year from the DMW team had given an optimistic mind for 2017. Ok guys let’s get into the music proper!

PRODUCTION:
Oga Tekno who has become the baddest producer right now, did a good job, also bringing the trumpet flavour in the mix. But I was sha still listening to some #PANA touch in the song. Hey… also a borrowed production from 2face’s ”˜Only Me`!

LYRICS:
Listening to the lyrics will easily convince fans that Teknoo wrote 70% of the song. Why? Davido utilised the Ibo or Igbo language… ”˜Sipping brukututu… For your love itutu… Biko obianu Chukwu`
Davido I`m sorry has got scattered lyrics not only in this song (IF) but in other songs, like (Prayer), please make your lyrics constructive. Or better still get a better producer that can arrange your lyrics.
In this song, he was promising the babe… ”˜My money my body na your own o… And later warning the babe ..no do no do no do gragra for me…`
Also noticed that egbon Davido struggled a little bit in the mille of the song!

CONTENT:
I think the content of IF is based on Love, Life and Money (30 billion in the account).
Just the same set of songs from OBO.
*IF I`m going to say, Davido has not been able to pass across any big message and same repetition of chorus in this song.
*IF, wasn’t worth the hype.
