It is an amazing feeling to always have to look back and reminisce of the past and be able to count or point out to a lot of great achievements that have been carried out by one. And it is even most enjoyable when the present condition of one happens to be better than the past.
This is exactly the case with legendary Nigerian singer; 2face Idibia as he is currently in a celebrating moodΒ after it clocked 20 years that he has been doing good music.
The singer who recently hosted an occassion to mark the unbelievable achievement got in an interview with showtime where he expressed his gratefulness to music fans and also to those that were & have been part of the journey of what he’s achieved in the past two decades as a music artiste.
He shared that in the past 20 years as a musician, he’s made some decisions he isn’t proud of as well as so many that he’s elegantly proud of.
2face said: I`m grateful to God and all my fans for still being here; I`m grateful for all my critics and for all those that have supported me all these twenty years. I kicked off my music career professionally, from Plantashun Boyz was in 1999; twenty years ago.
Since then I`ve been here. So many people have been part of my journey, there have been so much ups and downs. I`ve said so many things I shouldn`t have said. I`ve made some foolish decisions; but then I`ve done a lot of great things that i’m grateful to God for.
I`m grateful to God and all my fans for still being here; I`m grateful for all my critics and for all those that have supported me all these twenty years.
It`s been lonely at the top, but it`s no more lonely, because many young bloods are now taking music even beyond where I took it to and that`s my joy. But you know as they say βΛOld soldier never dies`, so I`m still much relevant and at the top.
