Nigerian artist Portable warns Bobrisky, urging the controversial crossdresser to reconsider his actions and “repent from his sinful ways.”
Portable’s remarks come as Bobrisky faces ongoing legal and personal difficulties. Recently, Bobrisky was released from prison on August 5 after serving part of a six-month sentence that began on April 12 for his involvement in the misuse of the Nigerian currency, the naira. However, new allegations have emerged. According to TORI, the situation escalated when social media influencer Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared an alleged audio recording in which Bobrisky purportedly claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ?15 million to dismiss the charges against him.
Bobrisky, a prominent transgender figure, has denied the bribery allegations, calling the audio “fake” and insisting that he served his time in prison without any corrupt dealings. Bobrisky firmly stated, “I served my term in prison.”
In response to these claims, the EFCC summoned both Bobrisky and Otse for questioning, with the agency’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter. The Nigerian government has also taken swift action, suspending two Nigerian Correctional Service officers implicated in the controversy. In a further twist, rapper Falz corroborated part of Otse’s allegations, stating in a letter to the activist that Bobrisky had solicited ?3 million from him to secure preferential treatment during his imprisonment, a request that Falz declined.
Amid these legal battles, Bobrisky has revealed that he is battling suicidal thoughts. He clarified that he does not seek pity but understanding during this difficult time. Portable warns Bobrisky once more, taking to Instagram to advise him against suicidal thoughts and encouraging repentance and divine forgiveness, which could lead to a change in his life.
Portable said: “Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Damn it to any sinner that does not repent. If you die, you are going to hell. Beg God to forgive you. God does not want a sinner to die.”
Portable warns Bobrisky to ask for forgiveness: “Help me tell Bobrisky to ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to ask God for forgiveness of sin. What Bobrisky is facing now, if he repents, he will enjoy the world. But if he does not repent.”
As the situation continues to unfold, Portable warns Bobrisky to seek spiritual redemption, highlighting that repentance could lead to peace in his troubled life.
