Award-winning and Beninise legend, Angelique Kidjo who bagged the World Best Album Award at the just concluded 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards was spotted in a video alongside Nigerian sensational and inspirational singer, Asa speaking one of the languages among the south-western region of Nigeria Yoruba Language.
It is indeed a surprise to see the Beninese singer speaking the language so fluently just as if she was raised from there. She greeted Asa with the words “omo iya mi” meaning my mother’s daughter.She also added that it was her first visit to Lagos since 1993 cant wait to see what the city has to offer.
