Nigerian singer Asake has opened up on the challenges persons with tattoos go through when finding employment in Nigeria.
Asake made this claim in an article published in the most recent issue of GQ magazine. He recalled how the preconceptions prevented him from working for any organization or conducting business due to his neck tattoo.
The artiste said;
βIn Nigeria, if you have a tattoo on your neck, you canβt work anywhere. I canβt work for any company. I canβt sell anything.β
Asake discussed his unexpected rise to fame and pointed out that, contrary to popular belief, he did not become a βovernight successβ in the Nigerian music industry.
The βYogaβ crooner claimed that he had been trying for years to achieve success and that he had only recently arrived at his goal.
